I love this roughness in your style, but..only one crit from me, you could perhaps add some more contrast in the work ( not too much) so the colours will come out a lil more...

Yeah I agree about the contrast, however the color choices you have used are so professional becasue you have used non conventional colors to indicate light and shadow!

You use very loose brush strokes, so the painterly feeling is definetly there. I love that! Your use of colours is very good, the painting is never flat or dull. However, I find the gray dabs on the chin a bit annoying.
Concidering that this is "only" a regular portrait with no action or anything, you manage to make it very alive and interesting after all. The lighting is great, especially on the forehead and the neck!
Perhaps you could have used fewer gray strokes, especially on the shirt, and painted the pattern stripes in a different colour or maybe white? It looks rather unclean.

Anyway, it's an excellent painting! You show us that you master not only pencil and digital techniques, but also oils. Clever guy!

love the colours! Especially all the different colours used in the skin tones. I would suggest a few darker colours here and there just to make it jump out a bit but that is my preference. Love your traditional painting style.
